ADVENTUROUS WILDLIFE LIFE TREKKING (PACKAGE ONE) [Code MH157]
Three Nights and Three Days
DAY ONE
1.00 PM : Trekking through Chinnar wild life Sanctuary.
We will arrange your pick up from Cochin, Coimbatore or Tirupur
The trekking starts after lunch at from Chinnar Eco- Tourism centre of Kerala Forest Department. Chinnar Valley is the one and only rain shadow of the western ghats of Kerala spread an area of about 200 sqkm, both in Tamilnadu and Kerala. This programme consists of a trekking through wildlife zone of the sanctuary, guided by tribal trekking guides of Kerala Forest Department. The Valley is rich in wildlife like Elephants, wild gaur, leopard, sambar, wild dogs, spotted deer, civets, Slender Loris, and many other mammals, reptiles and birds. During the trekking through forest the visitor can watch the rare species of fauna and flora at close proximity. The hill top house Vasyapara Camp Shed of the Forest Department is about 7 km. away from the base camp. On the way we will stop near a tribal village and proceed our trek to the hill top house. We will reach the camp before five pm. The hut is built in traditional way with bamboo, mud and grass. You can take rest under the cool veranda of the house looking the impregnable open forest around. The courtyard of the hut is an excellent viewpoint to spot animals. More over it offers scenic splendours of the nature around and the breathtaking views of landscape. After a few minutes rest we will start hiking to the near by waterholes to spot more wildlife. Before night falls we will return to the camp. The tribal guards will prepare simple vegetarian food for our dinner. If the sky is clear you can enjoy the starry sky bursting with shooting stars.

DAY TWO
Tree house
If you wake up before sunrise you can enjoy the mesmerizing dawn of Marayoor, enriched with the calls of birds and animals. The camp is in such a position to see the sunrise and golden rocky mountains. When the sun rises, the visitor can spot from the hill top house unique wild life wonders moving down the valley. Chinnar watch tower is especially great to watch wildlife in the early dawn. The return journey starts at eight am through the wild life zone, unique thorny scrub and cactus forests bordered with thick groves. This will provide the opportunity to see the wild animals at close.
The trek to Koottar Machan
Tree house built deep inside the forest will be a unique experience to the visitor. Tree house is built on top of a big tree. Staying at tree top huts gives excellent opportunity for experiencing the nature of the wild. Visitors can spend a night in the tree top hut enjoying the beauty and freshness of wildlife sanctuary. The guards will sleep outside the room in the balcony of the tree house, also providing additional saftey. The ladder to the tree house is a detachable rope ladder with safe hand rope. During the night time the wild animals spread around the tree house, the teeming wildlife at close proximity will be an unforgettable experience.
DAY THREE
Thoovanam Waterfalls
Deep within the Chinnar Wildlife sanctuary lies the spectacular Thoovanam waterfalls. The enormous waterfalls on the Chinnar River with its breathtaking silvery cascade will enchant the visitor. Thoovanam is one of the biggest waterfalls in Kerala. This magnificent marvel currently attracting tourists from all over the world with great delight. After breakfast we will start hiking to the next camp, which is a log house near the famous Thoovanam waterfalls. We will reach there after lunch. Here you can go for a swim or dip in the pond. After the bath you can spend enough time to enjoy the waterfalls including photography and food. From the waterfalls the trek moves to the log house, located at the riverbank which is very close to the waterfall. The log house has one room, attached bathroom, spacious balcony etc. Our tribal guides and kitchen staff will prepare simple dinner for us. Over night stay in the log house. Our guards will sleep on the balcony of the log house.
DAY FOUR
Return journey to Alampetty Eco- Tourism centre of Kerala Forest Department. Custom made visit to attractions.(optional)

The tour will guide you to the Chinnar Wild Life sanctuary interpretation centre – Trekking deep inside the wildlife sanctuary- Arrange accommodation deep inside on the tree house – where you can enjoy the teeming wildlife and the beauty of Chinnar wildlife Sanctuary - Over night stay on the tree house erected on the top of a big tree – Wild animals spread around the tree house during the night time. The tour will begin with a visit to the Alampetty eco tourism information centre – Trekking to deep inside the wildlife sanctuary- Accommodation deep inside on the log house very close to Thoovanam waterfalls – At the waterfalls you can spend enough time to take a dip in the safe pond nearby and enjoying the waterfalls including photography and food - Over night stay on the Log house – From the waterfalls the trek moves to the log house, located at the riverbank which is very close to the waterfall. The log house has one room, attached bathroom, spacious balcony etc. Our tribal guides and kitchen staff will prepare simple dinner for us. Over night stay in the log house.
